I travel with a variety of equipment to ensure a high degree of visibility and audibility for my performances.
No theatre? No problem. To help create the feel of a conventional stage with wings and side entrances/exits, 24 feet of fire-retardant black backdrop can be erected in a variety of arrangements. These backdrops are set up at most school performances.
For shows where the audience is expected to be in excess of 150-200, I set up a high fidelity, two speaker, 1200 watt sound system. This system includes all necessary personal and instrument microphones, digital music players, and support systems. A single 110V electrical outlet provides sufficient power.
I can also utilize house sound and will require at least two (2) XLR microphone inputs and one (1) stereo line input. It is preferred that these inputs are accessible backstage.
For smaller venues I set up a single speaker system to amplify my personal microphone and music player. While small, this system projects high quality sound to every corner of smaller venues.
For most programs I do not require the presenter to provide any equipment (tables, chairs, etc...). To help ensure a smoothly run event the following technical riders will give you an idea of the time needed to set-up, present, and tear-down, changing room needs, stage access information, etc...
