Grant Writing and Funding

Early every October Local Cultural Councils (LCCs) in 351 Massachusetts cities and towns review grant applications for performances and projects that will benefit their community in the following year.

Every year since 1998 I have written LCC grant applications on behalf of schools, libraries, and other non-profit organizations throughout Massachusetts. By working closely with the sponsoring group, and members of the LCC, I have received partial to full funding for approximately 75% of all applications.

I offer this grant writing service at no additional charge above current performance fees. If you are interested in finding out more about this grant program please email me soon (use the link below).

While most of my work on writing grant applications takes place in September, feel free to contact me anytime during the year. I'll put your information in my notes and get in touch with you in early September.

Please try to contact me prior to September 15th.

My programs have met the eligibility criteria for the New England Foundation for the Arts NEST program.

Nonprofit presenters (schools, libraries, theatres, service agencies, arts organizations...) may apply for NEST funding to help support an engagement by a NEST eligible artist, as long as that artist is based outside of the presenter’s home state.

NEST grants are available in amounts up to 50% of the artists' fees. Minimum grants are $200. For more information please visit the NEFA/NEST website at www.NEFA.org.

BOCES (Board of Cooperative Educational Services) aid is a form of state aid. It reimburses school districts for a portion of their approved BOCES expenditures, including arts in education programs.

My programs have met the eligibility criteria of, and are listed on, the Boces Arts and Enrichment Resources. For more information please visit the BOCES A&E Resources website at artsineddirectory.org.
